Dr. Darrell Bartholomew

Dr. Darrell Bartholomew

Sales Center Faculty Director, Associate Professor of Marketing

Dr. Darrell E. Bartholomew is an Associate Professor of Marketing. He joined Penn State Harrisburg in 2016. His teaching includes Consumer Behavior, Personal Selling, Sales Management, Advertising and Sales Promotion Management, Sports Marketing, Principles of Marketing, Strategic Marketing, and Service Marketing. He also coaches and leads the Penn State Pro Sales Club at local and national sales competitions. Prior to joining Penn State Harrisburg, Dr. Bartholomew was the faculty advisor of the Pi Sigma Epsilon, Zeta Psi chapter at Rider University. He is a past National President of Mu Kappa Tau, The National Marketing Honor Society, and a former member of National Education Foundation Pi Sigma Epsilon Board.

Prior to receiving his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University, he earned his B.S. in Marketing and International Business from Brigham Young University and his MBA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He then worked as a marketing coordinator, finance manager, and marketing manager in the food industry, and as a marketing instructor at Southwest Minnesota State University. His personal interests include enjoying the outdoors and traveling with his family, church and community service.

Dr. Hossein Hashemi

Dr. Hossein Hashemi

Research Director, Assistant Professor of Marketing

Hossein Hashemi is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Penn State Harrisburg. With a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, Dr. Hashemi combines a strong engineering foundation with marketing expertise. His research primarily focuses on Sales and Sales Force Management, Quantitative Marketing, Meta-Analysis, and Digital Marketing, with a publication in the Journal of Business Research and multiple presentations at American Marketing Association conferences. He also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for multiple respected journals including the Journal of Business Research, Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing.

Dr. Ozge Aybat

Dr. Ozge Aybat

Marketing Program Chair

Ozge Aybat is an Associate Professor of Marketing. She received her Ph.D. in Marketing from Baruch College, City University of New York, and joined Penn State Harrisburg in Fall 2012. Her research mainly focuses on two areas of consumer behavior: the impact of emotions on consumers’ attitudes and behaviors as well as the impact of individual differences on goal-pursuit processes. Her work has been published in journals such as Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Advertising, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Journal of Brand Management. She has presented at major marketing conferences such as the Association for Consumer Research and the Society for Consumer Psychology. She currently teaches Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, Advertising and Sales Promotion Management, and Marketing Management.

Dr. Stephen Hampton

Dr. Stephen Hampton

Assistant Professor of Marketing

Dr. Stephen Hampton, a member of the Penn State Harrisburg community since 2020, serves as an advisor for the University Sales Club. Dr. Hampton’s teaching portfolio encompasses courses such as Sales Management, Business to Business Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Ecommerce Marketing, and Marketing Strategy.

Before earning his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, Dr. Hampton laid the foundation for his academic journey with a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University, followed by an MBA from the University of Utah. His early professional career was rooted in information systems, where he spent nearly a decade aiding organizations in enhancing their operations and decision-making processes.

Driven by a passion for education, Dr. Hampton transitioned back to academia, teaching at institutions such as Oklahoma State and Wichita State Universities. His diverse background allows him to bring a unique perspective to the Pro Sales Club, aiding the experience for its members. Dr. Hampton finds immense satisfaction in helping students navigate their academic and professional paths. His guidance extends beyond the classroom, aiming to empower students to achieve their goals and excel in the dynamic field of sales. As a faculty advisor for the Pro Sales Club, Dr. Stephen Hampton desires to inspire and shape the future leaders of the business world through his expertise and commitment to student success.

Dr. Sidd Bhatt

Dr. Sidd Bhatt

Assistant Professor of Marketing

Dr. Sidd Bhatt is an assistant professor of marketing at Penn State Harrisburg. His primary areas of research are pricing, retailing and food marketing. He has published in a wide variety of academic journals on these topics. He also has an interest in sales. He has taught Personal Selling class at Penn State Harrisburg and takes an active interest in mentoring students interested in a sales career.
